How It Works:
One of the largest trees in the world, Eucalyptus (Eucalyptus globulus) can reach heights of over 250 feet. Native to Australia, Eucalyptus can be found in parts of India, Africa, Europe, and the Americas. The Australian Aborigines were probably the first to discover the health benefits of Eucalyptus. They also discovered the roots to be an excellent source of water since they hold an astonishing amount of liquid. Eucalyptus leaves can add interest to potpourris, provide a refreshing ingredient to skin lotion and can also be used in an herbal bath. Eucalyptus oil contains a chemical (Eucalyptol) that gives the herb its pleasant aroma and beneficial properties.
Suggested Use:
The best way to make a good cup of tea is by the infusion method. Place one tea bag in a cup and add no more than 6 oz. of boiling water. Let steep for 3 minutes. Press the bag before removing to enhance flavor. Add honey to sweeten.
